Eve Eden is an extraordinary combination of musicians, each of whom refuse to compromise their personal style.
Songwriter and band leader, Emily, is a small town country girl from New Zealand who spent most of her youth reluctantly practicing scales and memorizing Beethoven concertos. In search of like-minded companions she crossed the great Pacific to the heart of music: Montreal!
Here, in 2008, Eve Eden was born. Eden being another name for New Zealand, of course.
Emily and two long time best friends, Jake and Jake, gravitated together and began making music that reflected each of their influences. Imagine Chad Smith, Chris Cornell and Tori Amos jamming... somehow it sounds a bit like Portished. Weird!
Later in the game they finally found the perfect bass player, indie electro-pop goddess, Elizabeth.
The music that has resulted is an eclectic sound that ranges from gentle folk to angry rock.
