Even Keel writes, performs and records music that not only has a fresh pop sound with great hooks and lyrics, but makes a conscious effort to be socially conscious, uplifting, and able to ask thought provoking questions.
The members of Even Keel are particularly influenced by the artists of the 60s and 70s, especially the poets, songwriters and social activists. Even Keel stands apart from mainstream music today because of these defining factors, while maintaining a current relevancy and contemporary presence.
The members of Even Keel have all played professionally in other groups and as session players. They are well traveled, well read, music connoisseurs with a wealth of experiences to share, and are dedicated to giving their listeners a breath of fresh sounds.
