Bio

In 2008, Event Horizon emerged from the ashes of rock bands Leaving the Will and Blood Lust Kill when high school friends David Santini, Craig Podell, John Clark, Parke O'Leary, and Mario Polito combined their talents. They sought to blend the styles of their previous bands, the hardcore metal of Santini and Polito's Blood Lust Kill and the pop-rock sound of Podell, Clark and O'Leary's Leaving the Will.
The result was something that would be fresh injected into a music scene that was growing stale and repetitive. Drawing influence from the classic rock bands of the 60s and 70s, as well as progressive bands like Yes, King Crimson, and Rush, they slowly molded their own unique sound which would set them apart from a music scene fading into mediocrity. Consisting of dual guitar leads, soaring vocals, and a groovy rhythm section, it wasn't long before Event Horizon's unique prog-rock sound took off.
In the beginning, the band started off playing around their hometown of Mahopac, New York. With a strong local following, Event Horizon soon branched out to venues across the Northeast, playing shows around New York and New England. Along the way, Event Horizon was fortunate enough to share the stage with quality acts like Senses Fail, The Sleeping, Closure in Moscow, and Sleeping With Sirens, further helping the band hone their skills and reach a higher level of playing.
With an ambitious desire to share their music with the world and bring people back to the innovative roots of rock and roll, Event Horizon strives to help shape the future of music. In an industry falling victim to generic sounds, Event Horizon is reviving the classic sound of true heartfelt rock, exploding with ingenuity, creativity and passion.
