Bio

So you must also be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. Matthew 24:44

“ever ready” was brought together by faith. Born in the small town of Denver Iowa, Ian Wass and Neil Matthias attended high school and realized they both had an interest in music. .

Cliff grew up just ten minutes away from Denver in the town of Waverly. He grew up in the faith and had just recently rededicated his life to Christ. Ian and Neil gave him a call one night not expecting him to show any interest in playing, but it turned out to be the opposite. What was originally a jam session with a drummer turned out to be praising Jesus with a new friend.

Ethan grew up in Forest City Iowa. He attended Northwestern in St. Paul Minnesota for three years before he meandered his way to the University of Northern Iowa, where Neil and Cliff were currently attending. After having no real experience with a band and not really knowing if there would be a response he posted a flyer stating “Singer/Guitarist looking to start Christian Rock Band”. Perfect. Ian pulled his number and made Neil call him a few days later. God is awesome. They set up a jam session with all four members and the journey had started.

The sound that “ever ready” creates is unique and catchy. With the melodic grooves supplied by Ian on the guitar, the solid low end from Neil the bassist, the hard-hitting rhythm from Cliff, and the never-off-key vocal display from Ethan, they bring a sense of energy that could only be Spirit supplied. To catch “ever ready” at its best is on stage. With tenacity they’ll tear through "Forgiven," getting the crowd ready for a night of praise and heavy music. Fan favorites “Live Completely” and the upbeat "For What it's Worth" show the diversity that the boys possess. They're constantly writing music and trying to improve their sound. Be sure to check them out when they're around your town, you won't go home dissappointed!

They also know where their priorities in life lay. They all live in Christ and are aware that their talent is a gift. What better way to praise their Savior than to use the gift that was given to them.

We love you Jesus! This one’s for you.

“Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1
