Everyday People - a Neo Sly Stone Experience is a crossover, ROCK, R&B, FUNK, JAZZ infused blast from the past, that takes it's audience on a 90-minute retrospective of the hits from legendary singer, songwriter, record producer SLY STONE! The musicianship is STELLAR and the show itself is RED HOT! The show includes "Dance to the Music," "Family Affair," "Everyday People," "Thank U Faletinme B Mice Elf" and "Hot Fun in the Summertime!" Recently in performing "You Caught Me Smiling" (featured in the film Molly's Game, starring Jessica Chastain and Edris Elba) mashed up with "Feel Like Making Love" clearly illustrating the influence of the genius of SLY STONE. All night long the hit's just keep on coming!
As 2013 was coming to a close, bassist Robin Rountree was approached by members of Sly Stone's family and previous band members, creating a Sly and the Family Stone Tribute. They needed a funky bass player and Rountree leaped at the opportunity to play this music. After a few months, Ms Rountree developed Everyday People - a Neo Sly Stone Experience!
