Everything At Once

In an era where mainstream and marketable alternative rock dominates over the underground principles it was founded on Hamilton, Ontario based band Everything at Once (EAO) comes off as a breath of fresh air. Their self-titled debut results from the grass roots hard work and determination it takes to make honest rock music. E.A.O...s do-it-yourself ethic has propelled them to where they are now. Headed by brothers Al (vocals) and Carl (guitar & vocals) Redmond, who immigrated to Canada from Ireland in 1989. They formed the band in 2000 with Tim Lalonde (guitar & vocals), Stu Sisler (bass). Drummer Scott McCurdy joined the band in 2005.

Music has always been a refuge for lead singer, Al Redmond, who in addition to struggling with the changes brought on by relocating to a new country was hit with a much bigger problem. Shortly after settling into his new surroundings, Al was diagnosed with a rare medical diagnosis on his spinal cord which forced him to leave school. It was then that he immersed himself in the one thing that always provided shelter and restoration for him, the music. His brother Carl introduced him to the guitar and eventually, music became his world and gave him a new lease on life.
..I felt somehow changed. Music has always been my escape from everything. I never expected it to become my whole life. It was the first time I felt like I had a purpose...

The band was always quick to jump at every opportunity that came their way, which helped to expose them to a wider audience. Hitting the road immediately to play in underground rock venues across Canada and promoting their music online to the hard rock/hardcore music community, made the fans take notice. Their music became heavily traded online as a result.

The boys recorded a demo and started shopping it to labels when independent label Linus Entertainment offered them a recording contract in early 2005. Their first full-length self-titled album was produced by Tom Treumuth and engineered/co-produced by Dan Brodbeck ( Gandharvas, Headstrong). Its release in Canada on August 2nd 2005, for the band, was a reaction to a world gone blind and a life turned upside down.

The industry has since taken notice. To date EAO have ranked ..2 on the 97.7 HTZ FM New Rock Search Finals and the Y108 New Rock Search and won Best Rock Recording at the Hamilton Music Scene Awards in November 2005. Their high-energy live show & killer songs have led to opening slots for bands like TRAPT, STAIND, FLYLEAF, NONPOINT, HINDER, SOIL, THREE DAYS GRACE, EVAN..S BLUE, GODHEAD, HURT and more.

Their self-titled debut album and an exclusive five song E.P. is available now on iTunes and other online music stores. It will also be released in the US and Europe early 2007.
