Everything Falls Dark

Forget what you know about Mentally Out Of Focus... They are no more... Now open up your minds to Everything Falls Dark! They are hear to bring you fearless, heavy, thrashing, headbanging, moshing, and creative metal music! Once you get a taste, you will beg for more! The band was an early based band consisting of one guitarist (Pedro), drummer (Clint), and bassist (Tim). But due to creative differences, guitarist Pedro left the band. For a while the band was laid to rest until one day, Clint decided to get things rolling again. He went in search of a guitarist, and Tim searched for a vocalist. It took about a year or so to actually kick start a band called Mentally out Of Focus. It consisted of four members. Matt Troutz on vocals, Xavier Elizondo on guitar, Timothy Little on bass, and Clint Williamson on drums and backing vocals. They quickly began learning a slew of cover songs from bands such as System of a Down, Devildriver, and Slipknot. After becoming tight as a band, and becoming used to one anothers unique styles, they wrote their first song entitled Shadows Of Life. The song was quickly trashed because it just simply was nothing special. The band was all about creativity, and Shadows Of Life simply did not cut it. For a good 5 months, the band hadn't came up with anything they thought was worth while. Until they one day, out of nowhere, played a few riffs and put them together. The result was what is now The Perfect Murder. After that song, they wrote a few new songs, a one they kept, and the others, they chuncked. The song Its All About You was then dubbed. After this song, the band had a long pause when they just didn't have anything good enough to offer one another. Members quit, but returned shortly. But when Xavier quit the band, that was the turning point. Clint went to his next door neighbors house. Joey Gilmore was then to replace Xavier on guitar, but Xavier quickly decided to return. This was the first time the band decided to try out two guitarists. And it was the best thing that could have happened. Joey was the missing key in the band. He and Xavier immidiately started writting songs together. In about a short 2 months of practice, Joey led Xavier into helping him write 3 new songs. Fresh style of heavy metal, which made the band realize that they wanted to be an alternate metal band. They wanted to play ALL kinds of metal, and for every song to sound as if it wasn't even the same band, but somehow keep its roots. They did just that, and after all this, they decided that Mentally Out Of Focus just didn't fit them anymore. So they thought... and thought... Then the first day in studio, while recording their 5 track EP, they decided on the name, Everything Falls Dark. There you have it. A San Antonio metal band that is ready to put on the greatest metal show the local scene has even seen! They are currently in the process of booking more shows once their EP is released.
