5 SONGS YOU GOTTA HEAR TODAY:

“Left Her Shore” by Evil Genius

Still in Ontario, there’s Evil Genius. If you like bands like the Trews, Pride Tiger or Matt Mays and El Torpedo, you should check them out. A song called “Left Her Shore” is a good place to start.

"John Bartlett - Toronto Marlies Band Review"

Marlie's Band Performance Review
John Bartlett is the voice of the Toronto Marlies. He can be seen and
heard on Leafs TV, The FAN 590, Rogers TV and The Score. He was named
the 2007 winner of the James H. Ellery Memorial Award by the AHL in the
radio category.

Here is what he had to say about Evil Genius' performance at the Toronto Marlies Game

"Great job by the band Evil Genius! They
sounded great, and even the producers back at The FAN 590 were
listening to them during the commercial breaks over the broadcast feed
and liked them. It’s the first time I’ve ever been at a game where a
live rock band played the warm-up music. And I’ve got to tell you, I
thought it was really cool."

Bio

Hailing from Guelph, Ontario. the Evil Genius have firmly established themselves as a band driven by a riff-heavy and vocally charged sound. While incorporating a range of influence anywhere from blues to classic and modern rock, this quartet maintains the essence of a pure rock act. Long time friends, Jeff Holdridge and Dave Huber began collaborating in 2003 and soon after linked up with Mikey Steenbakkers and Nick Emeny to complete the band. The Evil Genius has since been hard at work promoting a uniquely familiar sound. The group, in their 20s, can currently be found rocking out to promote their self-titled studio EP "The Evil Genius". The band continues to write, play, learn and mature musically with high expectatons. Whether in the studio or live performance, one thing remains certain, Evil Genius is hard hitting, heart thumping, fist pumping, but most importantly, it's catchy rock and roll.
