eVL_e is a fluid force: touring professionally at an impressionable age beginning in 1990, he has traveled the globe, providing solid rhythm for many artists, many genres. From southern Louisiana influenced hip-hop blues with Chris Thomas King (co-star in the hit movie: O' Brother Where Art Thou), honing solid r&b drumming skills, fueling the pulse of some of the Live Music Capital of the World's most revered funk bands to date, only to then blend electronics with the fiery Texas blues finesse of Chris Duarte, and also playing for Texas' renowned contemporary/traditional jazz saxophonists - also americana, country, aggressive metal - this Drum Artist's list is as versatile as his musical tastes.

Thus evoLVing directly from professionals he's worked with in local Austin blues bars to the international touring circuit, _e has constantly searched to meet his calling.

While on tour in Europe in the mid 90's, he noticed a sub-culture movement that reminded him of his first electronic drumpad.

.. I kicked it at raves and stuff when I wasn't able to hit the road with a pro situation. Anyway, I heard some soul-settling music at those renegades and parties that, somehow gave me this crazyreal sense of; .. its personal to every person that hangs at those events, those audiences get it. They really listen. I didn't really know what it was I was diggin at first but, I noticed the entire room change direction just from a hi-hat pattern. And I wasn't 'on' anything. Modern dance culture, oriented music is an amazing thing. I recall seeing those deejays mixing stuff on vinyl.. knowing I could play like that physically. So, basically (it) inspired me to figure things out on my own, then start flowin with whoever ..

..I started off doin gigs alone in between deejay sets. But its not fun, the whole one-man band thing. The fun's about, collaborating live.

eVL_e's live breaks/drum&bass concept, now developed for over 7 years.

"..I wanted it to be ongoing. It morphs as the featured deejays and instrumentalists rotate. Depending on the gig, party, renegade...but its a focused sound. Its NOT experimental - I stopped that shit on day two because, I respect -- I've learned from cats before me to respect the audience. And I do. More than they even know. Its not exactly the same everytime either, so ..it maintains the tradition of improvisation you'd hear in fusion-oriented rock... blues... metal.. electro and acoustic, be-bop. Its just something I feel certain musicians can blend. "

Currently: _e is based in LA, and has been working with DJ Swamp, Xavier (www.blackballuniverse.com), Norwood/TD (Fishbone), Crisp Arson ( Mental Note/Austin TX).

Live collaborations with Laura Jane (vocalist for Enrique Iglesias) and Icon Underground (www.iconunderground.com), are also in progress. To round it off, he is also working on a remix release for Austin Texas’ most notorious metal band, Gahdzilla Motor Company - and a related drum clinic program for kids interested in pursuing a career in the Music Business.

Touring Experience ranges from performing at U.S. and European festivals, renegades, warehouse parties, private and live music club events.
