Still working on that hot first release.

EVOLUTION.AND.VIK is a steaming fresh band, based in Bergen in Norway. The bands Architect is none other than Nils Petter Molvaer. Norways most internationally acclaimed trumpetist. When Molvær heard Viktoira play her songs at a garden party, the summer of 2012, he was immediately convinced that Hans Petter Gundersen and Viktoira Winge had to meet and work together. Thus EVOLUTION.AND.VIK was a reality October 2012.

The sound is electronic acoustic, with tight groves, fuzzing basslines, cheeky guitars, and various analog toys. If possible, a kind of trip hop folk brit-pop genre. When it comes to music references, LCD soundsystem, Coco Rosie, EGS, EMF, Portishead are amongst bands that EVOLUTION.AND.VIK can identifie with. Raw and vulnerable. Naughty and heartfelt.

The band's producer Hans Petter Gundersen, has produced over 60 albums. One of his recent releases was the album "Spiritual Non beliver" by The Last Hurrah!! with the record company Rune Gramofon. The album was critically acclaimed on the international music market, and the album received great critics in the influential British music magazines Mojo and The Wire.
Viktoria Winge is an established film actress in Norway. Her tallent as a singer is still a secret to the Norwegian public. She started her exproration of sound, lyrics and music whilst based UK for several years. Playing in different bands, gigging in London, and at several British festivals. Her voice has been compared to that of Billy Holiday, Bjørk and Gram Parsons.
The well established drummer Ivar Thormodsæter has played for several big Norwegian names. Amongst some: Magnet, Susanne Sundfør ,Madcon, Paperboys, Kurt Nilsen. The bassist Esau Pinto's has recently completed albums with the up and comeing artists Nora Nor and Maria Due.

EVOLUTION.AND.VIK has already recived a lot of interest from major lables in Norway. The bands next step, how and whith who to launch there debut album, is yet to be desided.
