The first thing you notice about Evren is his unbridled passion for what he does. He's been in the game for years and the thought of backing away has never, and will never, enter his mind. He not only wants to set the world on fire, he needs to.

"My grandfather took six bullets and five bayonets to get me here", he says. And of this, he is intensely proud. As the product of two strong bloodlines, one with deep warrior roots, the other with a long history of musical breeding, Evren knows he has been given a gift. Add to the fold his unique blend of Turkish and Canadian cultures and you have a sound that's charged with philosophical and political lyrics and a backdrop of beats and melodies that transcend genre. It's music that moves bodies and ignites minds.

Since the day he wrote his first rhyme at the age of thirteen, Evren has been churning out music that pushes the boundaries but manages to stay commercial. He has found vast success writing and producing music for national advertising campaigns such as Telus and Toyota, as well as developing original tracks for popular television shows INSTANT STAR, DEGRASSI - The Next Generation, Billable Hours, the Best Years and many more.

Evren's work as an artist, writer and producer eventually led to the formation of his band "Rhymestone". After playing countless shows and performing with a collection of exceptionally talented musicians, Evren took time to nurture his solo career, completing two independent records, Conflict of Interest (2002), and his Unknown MC (2004), which earned credits on many international music compilations including MGM Australia, SONY MUSIC (MANGA) and Universal Music Canada.

Evren may not hit that high C the way Celine does (although he'd debate that), but his drive to push himself and his collective forward is matched by few. He continues to extend his artistic limits, keeping his eclectic fan base moving and dancing to his very last beat - by making music that matters! Now working alongside a plethora of talented artists, blending hard-hitting club beats with soulfully sexy vocals and spitting lyrics that resonate well after his songs end, Evren remains a major force in the Toronto music scene and beyond.
