Bio
I Roland Lawes was born and raised in New Orleans La. 20 year veteran of the United States Navy .Was a member of the United States Navy Steel Band. Graduate of music under Berkely Coarses.Traveled all over the world playing steel drums.Was a Katrina survivor .Lived in Nebraska for five years and decided to move to Austin in 2010. Executive Steel Band has played New Orleans Jazz and Heritage for 10 years. Our band consist of five members! Roland Lawes steel drums, Mike Blue guitar,James Neal Bass,Drew Balogna drums, Devin Walker keyboard .We sing and play a variety of music consisting of Caribbean music Raggae calypso funk blues and Percussions.
