EXILES-unwilling absence from a home country or place of residence, whether enforced by a government or court as a punishment, or self-imposed for political or religious reasons. (Until we make it home or have Heaven on Earth, we all are Exiles.)
The rap group EXILEZ consists of two members; A.K and Hurt. They write and produce inspirational rap for the masses. They reside in the Washington Metropolitan area. AK has resided in many other states but has always called DMV home. Hurt a chicago native has adapted to the DMV culture as well. AK and HURT were not always associated with a positive environment, but they chose to do something about it.They chose to take their testimonies of the streets, their faith and dedication to family and create conscious rap music.Their music is inspirational, thought-provoking, refreshing and can be enjoyed by adults and children alike. Don't get it twisted, their music definitely has street appeal.
This Bio is written to help you envision Exilez purpose and what they stand for. They are currently working on their debut album "Genesis". Simultaneously they are sending their demo to Record Labels that they are interested in working with. With all the controversy revolving around the music today, they boldly feel that this is an acceptable time for their music to be acknowledged.
It is their mission to change the negative connotation associated with rap to something positive and meaningful. The demographics of their audience are limitless. They don't subscribe to alot of the gimmicks in the music business today. They have the ability to produce good music on any topic, but they choose to be a voice for those who seek more substance.
