The best kept secret in music

"Existaria at MidPoint Music Festival"

Scratchy, emotional vocals and e-bowed guitar float above a precisely textured foundation in this band's cinematic centerpieces. The rest of the world seems to evaporate when singer/songwriter Greg Jacobs begins his warm, mournful journey. The rest of the band supports marvelously while carefully forging their own individual expression.

Existaria - Extemporisis

Feeling a bit camera shy

Like a delicate flower that has taken root in a perilous outcropping, Existaria contrasts beauty and isolation. Their songs build and weave their way through darkened, smoky rooms, taking a self-deterministic path with respect to length and intensity. Using keyboards, ebows, guitars, bass and drums, Existaria conjures a sonorous landscape from the nether regions of one’s imagination, seeking the places that the soul is most affected, like water flowing into harsh crevices. To the greatest extent possible, the musicians act solely as a medium, allowing the music and the listener to commune undisturbed. The members of Existaria benefit from having collaborated extensively for many years, becoming fluent in each other's vocabulary of expression. This allows them to create sweeping, melodic portraits of the wind-worn recesses of human experience, forging a rhythm set to the unsure beat of a melancholic heart.
