Bio

Exit 2 Enter is a hard rock band from Chicago IL.

Forming at 12 and 13 years old, E2E got an early start on their musical career. Now at 18, this group has the passion, chemistry, and raw talent necessary to take them to the top. The four piece Foo Fighters inspired band boasts 3 full length albums, two of which are produced, recorded, and mixed by the band themselves.

While most 11 year olds are still watching cartoons on Saturday mornings, Exit 2 Enters Griff Johnson was writing, recording, and producing songs he started writing before he was 10. By 2009, Johnson was playing locally with various musicians, but was looking for a specific sound and a more fun musical experience. He chatted up Ben Goldman one day who was also disenchanted with his current band. Within a short time they realized their common musical influences along with their talent and passion, would take them to a new level together. Goldman suggested Mitch Gorman on drums and after the original guitar player left the band longtime friend and most recent E2E member Eric Reyes joined in on Lead guitar.

Early on, the band received a lot of attention and accolades for writing, recording, and producing their own material. Their energetic and captivating live shows exhibited a musical experience beyond their young years. E2Es solid delivery and professionalism has made them in demand at local venues, festivals, and events. They have won various awards, including being chosen over 200 Chicago bands to play as one of the five groups in the Taste of Chicago Battle of the Bands where they later took second place. E2E has also played at a Chicago White Sox game to a crowd of over 30,000 people, been featured On Demand for Time Warner Cable, and opened for national acts such as Set It Off and Niki Barr Band. After 2 full length albums, E2E laid down the tracks for their best album yet in May of 2011. Cycles, released in 2012 included fan favorites Vampire and Over.

After years of being a band, weve been through many different cycles, says singer, Griff Johnson. Our sound is becoming more mature and were starting a new one of our cycles

After recording from mid 2013 to early 2014, the band expects their new EP As It Should Be to be out in March of 2014.

The product of years of practicing and building chemistry together, E2Es live show is a force to be reckoned with in todays competitive music scene. With combined musical experience upwards of 40 years, Exit 2 Enter is on a path to big things in the future.
