                       L. Hill

L. Hill was born in Greenwood, South Carolina, but raised in a small town 17 miles north of Greenwood, South Carolina called Ware Shoals, South Carolina; zip code 29692. "Christian Hill" was the neighborhood in this small town where he was nurtured in a two parent home, and taught morals and values.

It was at the age of 11 years old, when a tragic accident left three young "close" family members dead. Such a traumatic event at a early age, it would be his first encounter with "mental pain". As a child he always loved music. He wrote his first r&b song at age twelve called;  "tear drops", in remembrance of his dead loved ones.

The neighborhood that was once close knit became drug infested once the "crack" epidemic of the 90"s began to spiral out of control. Like so many  "black males" of America, L. Hill drifted to the streets, antagonizing everything his mother and father had instilled in him throughout life. The "streets" inspired L.Hill to transition those r&b songs into a genre of music called rap; hip-hop.

He rapped along side of peers that would end up in the penal system and some who were murdered. The "streetlife" enveloped L. Hill, the "druglife" enveloped L Hill, but music was his life. After being under investigation by several law enforcement agencies for a number of years, L. Hill was eventually caught and sentenced to 10 years in prison for drugs and weapons possession.

Throughout his 10 year stint, he became aware of "self"; often writing music because it was therapeutic. It took his mind to a placid place. As the decade of prison life rolled on, L. Hill lost his Grandmother and his Father. More traumatic events that left him scarred mentally for life. But even through that, he always turned to his music, now with the inclusion of (GOD)! After being released; L. Hill explained to a friend that he had hopes of doing a mix-tape.

That same friend introduced him to Mr.Anthony Laymon; the owner of Explorer Entertainment.

L. Hill released his mixtape "Me&Mine Pt.III: No Facade" on Datpiff.com; which has 100,000 views to date. His debut album "Pain Music" preceded; via Explorer Entertainment in

(Ware Shoals, South Carolina).

Thoughtout the duration of doing something that he loves so much; L. Hill suffered a gun shot wound to the chest resulting from a drive-by shooting by a unknown shooter or shooters where a bullet gazed him in the chest. The t-shirt he was wearing had an entrance bullet hole, where as the doctor told him he was "lucky"; but he knew it wasn't luck; it was the Most High; (GOD).

You can listen to his music and sometimes in the introduction; he'll say Pain Music in a raspy, rough voice. In the end he says, "His music is only entertainment". So there you go; you have a fraction of L. Hill, the Man, the voice, the Explorer Entertainment artist, and the reason for "Pain Music"!!!
