Bio
Eyal Sela, a master on the clarinet and other woodwind instruments. Eyal Sela has made a reputation for himself by playing unique multi-disciplinary music for the past decade. He is a virtuous of ethnic wind instruments (Turkish clarinet, Indian bamboo flute, zurna, sacred ney flute) . He also is an accomplished singer.
He composed, arranged and recorded three CDs (Magda/Nada Records) with his own projects and stands behind other projects as Tanjona Tany project in collaboration with Greenpeace -, the sound track of the movie Secrets featuring the French actress Fanny Ardant.
Eyal Sela has also been the musical director of the successful musical show of 2006 Baharti, Indian show featuring Indian songs and dances with 60 dancers, 17 musicians and 6 singers.
The Baharti CD was 10th in sales for France for World Music in 2006, the end song of the show is composed by Eyal Sela.
He recorded also his flutes on the CDs of other artists as Idan Raichel, Ross Daily, Adel Salameh, Stefano Saletti and more.He was (is) performing all over the globe with his own projects or with other artists as Yair Dalal, Ross Daily, Idan Raichel and others.
Eyal is a French citizen who stays partly in Brussels, partly in Tel Aviv and runs currently two of his own projects : KVAR STELO, a project which uses his classical and ethnic skills and his new project A night on a Smoky Mountain is based on the ancient melodies of the Meron celebrations. The Meron festivities had cosmopolitan nature and attracted Jews of many origins as well as Arabs and Druze from the Galilee. It was a varied festival of dancing and singing, playing of music and lighting of bonfires. Its this mysterious and ecstatic atmosphere that Eyal Sela recreates on stage with this project.
