"Week Of 7/21/08: EYEDROPPER"

WCCC Sunday Night Homegrown airs every Sunday at 11pm on The Rock 106.9 WCCC and wccc.com!

Plus catch WCCC's regular Homegrown feature every Monday thru Thursday night at about 10:50pm! This week's featured band is EYEDROPPER!

Hailing from Connecticut's "airport area" of Windsor Locks and Simsbury, Eyedropper got together in January of 2008 when the former front man of the band Stereo Zephyr joined members of the band Goliath. Influenced by an eclectic mix of classic rock and alternative sounds like Pink Floyd, Van Halen, Pearl Jam, and Stone Temple Pilots, Eyedropper say they are "aggressively engaged in a collaborative effort to write music that is passionate and connected to the people", and they recently recorded a 5-song demo CD entitled "Toxin" at Paul Lusky's Rock Barn recording studio.

Band members are: John (vocals), Ken (guitar), Charlie (guitar), Brendan (bass), Dan (drums).

Bio

The band formed in 2008 when former Stereo Zephyr front man John joined the instrumental trio of Ken, Dan and Brendan of Goliath in early 2008. Influenced by an eclectic mix of faith, classic rock, and alternative sounds, Eyedropper is aggressively engaged in a collaborative effort to write music that is passionate and connected to the people. Eyedropper was quickly rewarded for their efforts by being named a 106.9 WCCC Homegrown Band, featured in July 2008 by the Hartford, CT based FM radio station, and Cape Cod's PIXY 103 FM Homegrown Band in November 2008. Their music is also playing through the AMP radio network and was the "Song of the Day" on www.FM102x.com on 11/19/08. They have shared the stage with many well known regional bands as well as national acts, including Puddle of Mudd, Eve 6, Alter Bridge and Sevendust.
