Hailing from the scorching sun and beauty of this great nation is a raucous band that has adopted the mysterious moniker of Chris Nichols experience of Conversations of hurts and pains of life. The five-piece outfit known as Eyes of Claire is undoubtedly electrifying in its intense commitment to be relational and unshakably sincere in its presentation and lyrical content, though even with such firm footing, members will admit there is much more to their mission than just having fun playing music.

Ask any one of the guys what is on their minds when it comes to their calling and it stretches beyond making incredibly engaging music. Instead they would say they are on a search, a search which is to find and to show and place there is a hope and love beyond any stretch of the imagination.

They are searching for the ultimate truth, one that lasts far beyond the carnal and temporary and more towards the vertical or eternal. And no matter what worldview or personal philosophy you adopt, Eyes of Claire is willing to bet you are searching for it and are on the same journey too.

Rather than playing the guessing game and dabbling in uninspired decision making, Eyes of Claire is willing even go so far as to say they have found precisely what that inexplicable hope truly is. Indeed it is a lofty claim for a rock band, but take a listen stripping away any preconceived notions and you just may find what you are looking for.

Like Rollins Band, Trapt or Thousand Foot Krutch; the lyrical exposition is fearless, focusing on everything from personal struggles and fears to societal issues of varying scopes. But where Eyes of Claire splits from the pack is their fervent desire to impact the world at large with a message that is not always instantly embraced- that there is a hope for whatever is you are going through or will go through.

Sonically, the band matches that gut wrenching imagery of their most vivid battles and steadfast convictions with riveting, powering sounds capes. Such tenacity has translated into the moving connection of people through their unique style, which combines classic and current influences like Rage, Foo Fighters, Blindside, Anberlin and Dizmas. Eyes of Claire seeks to bridges rock, punk, hardcore and metal nuances to become their style.

“I think early on we understood to make a band happen, we had to up the ante, (Says Drummer Luke Heckel) work ethic and detailed merging of such progressive head pounding. We have always shot for the best we could attain and believe that everything else has come together.

Such an unconventional melting pot, along with songwriting openness and subsequently candid on-stage conversations, is likely to rustle some feathers, creating controversy to those uninterested in following the bands spiritual directive and jostle those already comfortably nestled in their complacent lives.

“A lot of people in the world are probably going to be offended by what we say or represent and that’s fine, lead singer Chris Nichols relates. We are not afraid to be bold with what we sing about and we will admit our shortcomings and struggles. Without sounding arrogant, our hope is that people would see our passion, and ultimately the source of that passion, and the hope that brings and provides us.”
