Eyes of Medusa is an Italian Melodic Metal band from Parma which was formed in 2000.
The band takes its strength from the mixture of different musical experiences and tastes of its components. The founder members are Marco Trippa (guitar), Alberto Cantoni (drums), both metal lovers, and Elisa Pellizzeri (keyboards), who comes from a classic music academy formation. Different figures succeeded in the places of singer and bassist; the actual line-up
found stability with Giovanna Polzella, of rock-pop formation, at the voice and Emanuele Azzoni at the bass, who has very various and broad musical tastes, from 70's hard rock to grunge and progressive metal.
The result of the heterogeneity of musical influences and of the maturation of a extremely personal style is a blend of melodical sonorities and brutal metal riffs, piano interludes, crossover and speed metal rhythms, guitar and piano solos and licks; all completed by the sweetness of female voice. The show is composed exclusively by original songs.
Eyes of Medusa has always granted primary importance to live activity.
At their active there are many gigs mainly in Northern Italy and partecipations to manifestations like Sanremo Rock.
