In 2010, Halifax singer-songwriter John Hayward began writing acoustic music under the moniker "The John Hayward Band"; a style of music that had strayed from his prior punk rock and heavy metal acts. This acoustic style evolved into a high energy pop-rock / pop-punk sound and a newly formed band was given the name “Eyes On Caroline”, after a song John had previously written and performed for the The John Hayward Band.

The group has come a long way since their inception. With only one release under their belt, “A Thousand Ways”, a single written, recorded and released in the summer of 2012 by frontman John Hayward, the band retreated to Compact Audio Recording Studio with engineer Justin Felix to record their debut EP in the spring of 2013. Between January and February, the musicians tapped into a visceral energy built from a modernized pop/rock vibe and created their debut EP "Eyes On Caroline". After it's release, the group toured for the first time to promote their release and to gain exposure as a new band.

After a brief break early on in the summer of 2013, the boys re-grouped with a newly formed line-up including former "Mainstreet Exit / Above All Else" guitarist Max Long, and bassist Trevor Robar, replacing long time player Steve Hamm and in 2014 released their very first full-length on cd and cassette entitled "Endless Summer". 2014 also saw the release of their first official music video for the single "Elador" and are now in the process of releasing their second video for "Run", both on Endless Summer. A must see for fans of feel-good summer time rock.

What sets Eyes On Caroline apart from other pop-rock acts is their ability to bring the summertime to the stage and splash you with their brand of high energy anthems and feel-good sing alongs. With influences ranging from Hit The Lights and Blink-182 to Matchbox 20, U2 and Face To Face, Eyes On Caroline’s brash of 90’s pop-rock fused pop-punk will leave you whoaing and singing along to every word.
