"Interview on 98.5 Sonshine FM"

Duration 5:28. - 98.5 Sonshine FM

"Singing for a good cause"

Former wedding singer and mother of three Ezereve is lending her vocal chords to those in need.

The Darch resident will hit the stage to launch her debut album Stop Traffik at the Ellington Jazz Club in Northbridge tonight with every dollar from the album sales going to the Servant's Anonymous Foundation which helps women involved in, or at risk of involvement in, the sex trade.

Ezereve, who recorded the album at a friend's home studio, has been singing and playing guitar since she was a kid but it wasn't until she learnt of the charity through another pal that she got serious about her music.

"When I learnt about this cause I just became so passionate about it, the music flowed out of me and I really wanted to make a difference," she tells Access All Areas.

"Having the kids really inspires me because I've learnt that girls my daughter's age are being trafficked and trapped in brothels and all sorts of horrible things."

Ezereve hopes to have raised over $10,000 by the end of 2011 and is planning to continue making music next year.
Due to popular demand Ezereve will be performing a second show on Tuesday. Tickets can be bought through ellingtonjazz.com.au - The West Australian

Ezereve is no ordinary singer/songwriter. She is a sell-out artist who has performed to several thousand people. After $14,000 was raised through the sales of her homemade demo CD 'Stop Traffik' for charities that fight trafficking, Ezereve realised that the next step was to record her music professionally. Ezereve's new EP, 'Little Sister', is finally here.

Ezereve has worked with top music industry professionals to create this world class recording. The EP was produced by Carl Dimataga (Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy, Stan Walker), who has worked for Sony, mixed by Grammy Award winner Brian Paturalski (OutKast) and mastered by Leon Zervos (Aerosmith, Maroon 5), multiple Grammy Award winner, at Studios 301, Sydney.

Ezereve is a 27 year old singer/songwriter with four gorgeous children who inspire her to make a difference. Ezereve is a World Vision Artist, and has recorded this EP to raise awareness about human trafficking and funds for World Vision's Child Rescue program. Just the thought of something happening to her own children is beyond terrifying, but the reality is that this is happening to other children around the world. It breaks her heart and so she has joined the fight to give a voice to those who don't have one. By purchasing Ezereve's new EP 'Little Sister', you are helping to fight injustice. Thank you for your support!

World Vision believes in her music and her passion to see this cycle of poverty broken. Ezereve's next goal is to be sent into the field to see their work in action.

I want to be the voice for those whose voices are unheard.
