Pushing the boundaries of how we conceptualize hip-hop, Fabian has created a debut E.P. that speaks to everyone. Sense of Purpose was written with pen and paper and every phrase reflects a situation Fabian has experienced. This personal touch is the compelling force that shapes Sense of Purpose into an E.P. that anyone can identify with.

Born into an artistic family, Fabian has always been surrounded by creativity. At the age of six, singing in his uncle’s band, he started to nurture his own talent. He stretched his creativity by writing poetry, but it was Fabian’s love and passion for hip-hop that caused his lines to naturally evolve into lyrics and for those lyrics to take shape into songs.

In the past six months Fabian has shared his songs with eager audiences and has created a name for himself in the Winnipeg music scene. His unique sound and his lyrics, which expose a vulnerability we are not used to experiencing from a hip-hop artist, are what make Fabian an artist to look out for.

In a time when technology rules our daily interactions, Fabian gives us an exposed glimpse at what we are all hungry for, a human connection. Sense of Purpose flows from one relatable life experience to the next. The already popular “Wait for Me” is a plea to someone special, asking for her patience while he focuses on following his dreams. “Gone Off Your Lovin” describes the inevitable ebb and flow of a relationship and “Now that You’re Gone” is a dark realization that we often don’t know the true value of someone until they are gone. These life struggles are poetically balanced with songs of perseverance, which describe the ability to overcome life’s obstacles. “Let Me Fly” and “Shake em off” are about rising above life’s challenges.

Hitting all of life’s notes, Fabian’s songs transcend his own stories and Sense of Purpose succeeds in creating a connection between artist and audience.
