Pistols and Pickup Trucks
Indie—(No Number)

(10 Selections – Playing Time 33:14)
Love Me Like A Love Song / Nowhere To Go / I Hate Lovin’ You / Pistols and Pickup Trucks /
Cryin’ Over Nothin’ / Romance Rodeo / You Are / First Thing On Your Mind / There Goes My
Heart / Beautiful Men

Before you even listen to the music, you sense a special
uniqueness to this new Face 2 Face act, as the duo is
comprised of twin sisters Felicia and Christine Richards.
There’s not very many twin sisters on the Cancountry scene.
The St. Thomas, Ontario-based duo make their recording
debut on Pistols and Pickup Trucks, and album produced by
Canadian Gilles Godard, long a major contributor on the
Nashville music scene. Godard also has his busy writing pen
involved in all but one of the album’s ten selections.
Face2Face deliver a strong energy-filled debut, missing
perhaps from a bit of vocal passion that will likely only come with experience and maturity.
They have already scored some airplay success with the album’s lead single, Cryin’ Over
Nothin’; and there are potential follow-up’s in tunes like the country/rocker Beautiful Men, the
punchy title track Pistols and Pickup Trucks and the quirky Romance Rodeo –one of those ‘he
likes Merle—she like Aguilera’ songs that is typically ear-catchy. Listen also for a Gilles
Godard/Terri Clark collaboration on Nowhere To Go, yet another hit pick.
There are several dreamy love songs on the album, with some of the better moments coming in
You Are, I Hate Lovin’ You and There Goes My Heart.
Pistols and Pickup Trucks was produced by Gilles Godard, with sessions recorded at Phase
One Studios in Toronto and in Nashville studios. For info / copies visit www.face2face.ca - Larry Delaney

Bio

Face2Face is a dynamic country duo featuring identical, mirror-image twins Christine and Felicia Richards. The twins were raised in Sarnia, Ontario and learned at a young age that not only was music their passion, but it was their purpose in life.
In their early teens, Christine and Felicia discovered that their niche was in country music. Influenced by some of today’s top country artists, they developed a unique edge unlike any other. Their style is a collaboration of country with a little pop and rock and holds an energy that is contagious!
In the fall of 2005, Face2Face travelled to Nashville and recorded their first single, “Take My Heart,” which was released January 10th, 2006. Following the release of their new single, Felicia and Christine embarked on a media tour across Central and Western Canada promoting Take My Heart, and building a fan base which was well received by all.
Shortly afterwards, the twins connected with hit producer/songwriter Gilles Godard, Chief Creative Officer of ole, and began the work on their first album. They had the pleasure of recording in Toronto, Ontario and Nashville, Tennessee and were honoured to have worked with some of the best musicians in the industry. They co-wrote four of the songs on the album, including the title track “Pistols and Pick-up Trucks.” Their first single from the album “Cryin’ Over Nothin” was released to radio early August 2006 and made the top 100 Canadian Charts! December of that same year, they also released a new version of the ever-popular “Frosty the Snowman” which increased their radio airplay! Their single “Romance Rodeo” was released June 4, 2007, and then following was their current single called “You Are” which is continuing to be their best charting single to date! Both their single “Romance Rodeo” and their CD have been given excellent reviews by numerous magazines overseas, as well as by Larry Delaney of the Country Music News Magazine, and also Music Row Magazine in Nashville.
In that same year, Christine and Felicia performed at Sarnia Bayfest 2006, as one of the opening acts for country superstar Gretchen Wilson. They also had the pleasure of performing at a fundraiser put on by Canada’s very own, Fred Eaglesmith, as well as joining the Road Hammers in a line-up of artists at the Fergus Truck Show 2007.
Already this year, the twins will be performing for numerous fundraisers, including the Victoria Order of Nurses (V.O.N.) and during CMA week in Nashville.
Face2Face will be on the road a great deal this year promoting their debut album to fans across Canada and the United States. For further information, check out their website at www.face2face.ca
