Bio
As a former Juilliard graduate, my mission is to inspire and elevate students' thinking process and to help them remove potential obstacles as they prepare to 'face the city.' In doing so, the goal is for students to be successful both in college and in life. “Face the City,” in essence, is about growing up. So much about facing "the real world" after college life is left unaddressed and this show's goal is to help alleviate much of the stress and uncertainty in a student's life while in the grip of experiencing that huge "turning point" with humor, love, and honesty.
Originally born and raised in Hollywood, CA, while living in New York City and Philadelphia, I began writing my autobiographical solo productions that were produced and performed throughout the east coast. Currently, in addition to performing“Face the City,” I've written and am performing a solo show entitled “The Night the Moon Ate My Room!” for young audiences with support from The Kennedy Center’s Imagination Celebration and Pikes Peak Library District in Colorado.
“Jesse Wilson has his finger on the pulse of this generation of students. An extraordinary talent, Jesse speaks to them in a way that touches their hearts and ignites their courage.”-- Judith Patterson, President/CEO US Performing Arts.
