Face the Sun is a 5 piece Alt-Rock band from Baltimore, Maryland. Their recently released debut album, Passengers, showcases the strong songwriting and cohesiveness that blends the different influences of each member into a collection of songs that display the emotion, fire and talent of the band.
Formerly known as The Times New Roman, the band has risen up the Baltimore music scene playing such venues as Rams Head Live, Recher Theatre, Sonar and The Quarter at Bourbon Street, including a slot at the first Mobtown Music Fest held at Ram’s Head Live. The band also earned a spot on the compilation CD Not For Sale featuring some of Baltimore’s top bands with the single “Shy Anne”, which has received airplay on both 98 Rock 97.9 and WTMD 89.7.
With the band’s debut album about to be released and new members in place the band decided it was time to make the name change to an identity more reflective of the current direction of the band, enter Face the Sun.
Putting a strong emphasis on their live show and pouring everything they have into their songwriting, recording and performances, Face the Sun demonstrate their ability to knock you down with in your face rock, pick you up with resonating hooks and have you singing along for days on end.
