Actor to produce film starring Chris Brown, album by rapper Face.

Actor Mekhi Phifer (ER, 8 Mile, Clockers,) has collaborated with writer Ronnie Warner to form two separate production companies, Facilitator Films and Facilitator Music. The film company will executive produce This Christmas, a family movie starring Delroy Lindo, Regina King, Loretta Devine, R&B heartthrob Chris Brown and Idris Elba (Daddy’s Little Girls,The Wire), which began filming Jan. 8. This follows their first project, the stoner comedy Puff Puff Pass, which Phifer also directed.

In addition, Facilitator Music has teamed up with producer Todd Mushaw to release Face ( myspace), a rapper from Reston, Va., who has gained regional recognition with the mixtape Face'N Tha Streetz Vol. 1.

"Being able to develop projects for film, television and music has always been a passion and goal of mine so I am thrilled to be launching Facilitator," said Phifer via his publicist. "Both Ronnie and I share a creative vision and drive to create a variety of diverse projects across the entertainment spectrum."

A "spiritual outer space suspense thriller" is also in the works.

Feeling a bit camera shy

Face, also known as Heracio Day, hailing from Northern Virginia, is the first artist of Black Box Entertainment. This lyrical musician speaks rhythmic chemistry, so unique, he makes his own beat. The picture that he paints through his lyrics shines light on the darkest of streets. FACE reflects on his experiences as a troubled youth and exemplifies a determination for a better future. An example these type of lyrics can be found in FACE's hit single "What U Do For Em?" he states "Couldn't let the streets swallow me/ so I fed the beats with plenty food for thought/ plenty pictures for eyes/ regardless of what fools thought like levitation I rise."
FACE has captured the attention of the Northern Virginia and the D.C. Metropolitan areas through radio air play on D.C.s own WKYS 93.9. FACE has performed at colleges such as Virginia Tech and the University of Virginia to clubs and bars throughout Virginia and Washington, D.C. FACE is currently performing throughout the Metropolitan area and promoting the release of his "FACE N' Tha Streets Mixtape" Hosted by 93.9 WKYS Radio Personality II Face "Ya Wildboy".
