Facing The Fire

Facing The Fire

Facing The Fire puts the edge back on rock music, with an energy that has been missing from the genre for a while.

Facing The Fire is storming the Midwest with their energetic, in-your-face hard rock. Formed in Indianapolis in 2008, FTF set out to put the “edge” back into rock music. Facing The Fire’s unique sound is anchored by driving rhythm guitar and bass. Add intense drums, soaring lead guitar, and memorable melodies, and you have one of the hottest new bands in the country. Facing The Fire’s influences are extremely diverse, from hardcore/metal bands such as Killswitch Engage and Underoath to classic rock like Pink Floyd. The result is somewhere in between, having been compared to bands like Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace. At shows, from parks to bars, FTF has repeatedly been complimented by fans and other musicians on their music being tight and together. Each of Facing The Fire’s members has been playing music since childhood, and so when FTF formed, everything clicked. The band’s line-up consists of Ben (Vocals/Guitar), Allen (Lead Guitar), Derek (Bass), and Will (Drums/BGVs). Facing The Fire has been playing shows in and around Indiana, and is going on tour in 2009. Meanwhile, FTF has released their EP, The Uproar, and is currently writing and recording their first full length album. Facing The Fire also recently finished 4th in the Indie of the Year contest.
