factory city is …
Mike Meacher, Mat Bowman and Fyl Bennett. This three piece rock/folk outfit was formed in 2013. Guitarist/vocalist Meacher and drummer Bowman have played together in several musical projects since the late 90’s including ‘Tomorrow’s Excuse’ and ‘Away from the Glow’. Bennett has been a fixture in the local music scene with his unique bass playing style and true passion for the instrument. Through hosting jam nights and playing cover gigs together, the three musicians began collaborating on what would eventually become Factory City. Stylistically the music blurs the lines between folk music and rock alternative. Their debut release,out mid-August 2014, tells a story of love, tragedy, grief and hope.
