Still working on that hot first release.

Feeling a bit camera shy

It’s kind of funny really, to understand how or why Faded Soul has come to be. But, nonetheless, the time has come. If it weren’t for that fateful day when Lee came by to install the latest and greatest cable network in my newly rented apartment, the music would still just be latent ideas floating around in our heads. As fate would have it, he saw the acoustic guitars in my living room and asked if I would like to jam with him and his buddy, the “D-man” (aka Dustin Brothers), and the seed was officially planted. The three of us worked on original material for about a year with only an inkling of serious intent, but who knows what can grow with a little water and a lot of sunshine. We started hearing, and more importantly, started believing in the potential of the music as well as within ourselves. We began having “snaps,” as Lee would call them. It’s like when you play on Monday, then again of Friday, felling like your just graduated from diapers and pull-ups to your favorite boxer briefs. At that point we felt it was time to put the feelers out for additional musicians. Shortly after, we met Christopher Velasco and Daniel Estevis to complete the birth of Faded Soul. – Lee Keller, 21 Feb 2004
