Fairfield

All great songs tell a story. Fairfield is a Toronto rock band committed to delivering music that grabs the heart of their audience and lets them know exactly what they are all about. However the members themselves might tell you that the most special story they have to is the one of how it all began. The town of Fairfield is a tiny community hidden with in Victoria British Columbia and home to lead vocalist Casey Marshall. Fairfields' southern influences are what inspired him to first begin writing songs. What he didnt know about Fairfield at the time was that was also the hometown of his future drummer Eric Paul. After moving to Toronto in 2000 to pursue a career in music production Casey met Eric at a local bar called The Orbit Room. Eric was playing drums and singing Tom Pettys' Free Falling. He approached Eric and after a few beers and the usual conversation involving their favourite bands the two began discussing their heritage. Both of them were shocked to learn that they had grown up only five blocks away from one another and had never met. It was at that moment the band Fairfield was formed. Now in 2006 Fairfield is quickly invading the Canadian music circuit. Their debut record Forgiveness (produced and engineered by Marshall) is slated for release in the summer of 2006. Forgiveness is a throwback record that pays homage to many of the bands greatest influences, including the Eagles, Bob Dylan and the Allman Brothers. Each and every one of Fairfields' songs delivers a message that the band knows will speak to their listeners.
