Faith Jackson

“Sometimes it takes a tragedy to wake someone up”

And that’s exactly what happened when this amazingly soulful woman lost her child in pregnancy. Looking inward, Faith immersed herself into the music that she grew up on. After her successful completion of a tour in the US Air Force and a follow-up stint in the Air National Guard, she decided to settle in Colorado. Unfortunately, Faith was faced with the emotional pain of the loss of her unborn child. It was then that she turned inward, examining her life and relying on her musical roots to get her through the difficult times.

Faith had grown up in the flat, harsh red dirt environment of SouthWest, Georgia. Being from this agricultural region with conservative southern values, Faith spent most of her childhood singing in the church choir and then competing in talent shows during her high school years. In the months and years after the loss of her unborn child, Faith was able to draw from these early experiences and found solace in the music that she created.

After finding some early success while in Colorado, Faith decided to come back home to her birthplace (an area that has also given us Ray Charles and Otis Redding).

It is her belief that music is nothing more than raw emotion, written down and given back to people in the form of performance that has shown us her range of talent. From the bluesy modern country sounds of “Rock My Country Bone” to the heart-wrenching Tammy Wynette- like ballad of “Left You for Me”, Faith’s musical talent has yet to find its limits.

Currently finding herself in the Semi-Finals for the prestigious Georgia Female Artist of the Year which immediately followed the release of her first cd “My Sins” – Faith Jackson is achieving many of her goals and this writer predicts she soon realizes many more.
