"Fallen Agenda - 2 track taster CD"

Fallen Agenda - 2 track taster CD

http://www.myspace.com/fallenagenda

Fallen Agenda first came to my attention when I saw them live at the Head of Steam pub a couple of months ago. I couldn’t fail to be impressed with the set despite the dodgy sound at the venue, but Naomi has such a strong distinctive voice which is backed up by Izzy the bands other female member who does great harmonies as well as play the strings for the band. Not many rock bands out there with two female members and even less female guitarists. Hailing from the Liverpool area and are a heavy dark rock outfit Fallen Agenda really come into their own on stage, so it is my pleasure to review this 2 track taster CD from them.

Track one: ”The Otherside”
Fantastic guitar to open this track with thunderous drumming and bass. I particularly love the harmonies on this track. Naomi’s vocals crisp and clean sound awesome and work in well with the band’s sound. Shan’s powerful drumming bring the track together nicely with Gary’s great catchy bass lines making it a really moreish track to listen to. Always made better by seeing the band live to get a feel for their brand of heavy rock, which is a real crowd puller.

Track two: “Glorious Flames”
Great drumming from Shan on this track, but sadly a few out of tune moments are detected, at the beginning and at the end, but despite that the track has its moments of glory. Izzy’s exceptional playing stands out, which has a powerful rhythm. Not bad for just 4 members and I have just seen that they are now looking for a second guitarist to add to this rock band extraordinaire.

If you get the chance to see Fallen Agenda you will experience a really powerful set. Naomi has the crowd eating out of her hand pulling you in deeper into their own brand of melodic dark rock and as always puts so much feeling into each and every song.

I personally feel that this CD does not really do the band justice at all and looking forward to hearing more from them, especially with another guitarist in tow which should really give them an even more powerful edge.

"Fallen Agenda - Surface Festival Regional Semi Final - 30/7/2011"

FALLEN AGENDA fifth band up on the night, where just phenomenal. They have come a long way since the first time I saw them (again at the Zanzi) Naomi’s vocals are like velvet but stronger than steel. Izzy was fantastic and worked well with Gary on stage, whilst Shan packed a punch on the skins. Had a funny moment! Half way through the set, when Naomi commented, on the sweat dripping from Izzy’s nose, that sent a ripple of laughter across the faces in the vast crowd at the Zanzi. They played a new track called ‘Surrender’ amazing song and great addition to the set! My faves are ‘The Otherside’ and ‘Glorious Flames’ All the tracks were just brutally attacked by Naomi, who just took it all in her stride and perfectly executed by Izzy, Gary and Shan… Awesome watching! Fallen Agenda - The Krazy House - 13.5.2011

The Krazy House, Krossfire Event, Liverpool
13.5.2011

It has been exactly a month to the day since I witnessed FALLEN AGENDA at the Head of Steam pub, and although the sound was dodgy due to the pubs layout, it was clear to see that FALLEN AGENDA were well on their musical journey!

Formed in September 2010 and from Liverpool, this band has in the past month clearly come into their own.

Naomi’s vocals were amazing, crisp and clear, Gary’s bass really catchy, Issy’s guitar flawless and Shan’s drumming superb. The feeling of a total connection with band and followers alike was at the heart of this Krossfire event.

Everyone really enjoyed the set and Issy’s little mishap with the mic was clearly forgotten as they launched into their powerful set of 7 great songs, starting with “The Other Side” which paved the way for the whole set, as the crowd got up close and personal draping themselves over the metal barrier and giving rapturous applause to each song Fallen Agenda launched into.

The stage came alive as Naomi took charge. Naomi doesn’t just sing, she brings each song alive with feeling, whilst Shan delivered some awesome beats, which compelled you to move in time to. Gary gave out some mean bass lines which reverberated through-out the K, and Issy, the bands other female member worked that guitar to perfection.

Even for the most brutal of us metal heads; you could not fail to be moved by this energetic display of rockers that are Fallen Agenda!

The set although the same as when they played at the Head of Steam were in slightly different order, playing 2 covers, “Zombie” and “SOS”, but this time they came across as tighter. The band were indeed more in control of their surroundings

Each song was executed perfectly and with raw precision. They all gave 110%.
It is clear to me that Fallen Agenda are clearly ON the agenda and not as their name suggests falling anywhere. In fact the (AOB) Any other business clearly sees them at the top of the agenda!!

Watch out for this band as they are well on their way to becoming a highly successful act.

Catch the band at the Surface Festival at Bad Format, Trueman Street, Liverpool on Friday 27th May Tickets 7.00 - Tickets from the band. With 6 other bands competing at this Battle for the bands gig.

"Fallen Agenda - Helrazer III - Zanzibar - 28/10/2011"

Fallen Agenda - Helrazer III - Zanzibar - 28/10/2011

Genre: Dark Rock

Fallen Agenda really made one heck of an effort at Helrazer III. They were the first band to arrive for sound check, dressed up for “Heloween” and even got a mosh pit to form. Absolutely incredible!

The best I have ever seen Fallen Agenda. They are just growing each time I see them live and delivering such fantastic sets.

Singing a new song “The Violent Kind” which I really loved! It smacked you right between the eyes and is, I feel a lot heavier than Fallen Agenda have done in the past. Although “The Otherside” and “Glorious Flames” were just awesomely played are still my favourite tracks.
Naomi really came into her own at Helrazer. She has the vocals that remind me of Heart, really strong and powerful and sung with so much feeling. She had a great rapport with the hungry metal crowd. Izzy looked amazing in her costume and although she said she was nervous it didn’t show at all. Shan looked relaxed behind his kit, although he later said on facebook that the costumes were a bad idea, probably due to the fact that the heat on stage wasn’t helping matters, but he never missed a beat. Gary made great use of the stage and it was once again a pleasure to see this band perform live, at which I thought was their best performance yet.

The mosh pit formed and everyone just went crazy! Quite remarkable for a rock band but Fallen Agenda have come a long way in such a short space of time and deserve the credit. Looking forward to seeing them play live again and seeing what they have up their sleeve for next time! Just check them out on the link above, you will be impressed!

"Fallen Agenda - Metal Meltdown - Head of Steam Pub - 13.4.2011"

Fallen Agenda - Metal Meltdown - Head of Steam Pub - 13.4.2011

Second up at the Head of Steam for Metal Meltdown was “Fallen Agenda” a female fronted band with a surprise twist….. They also have a female guitarist by the name of Izzy! They hail from the Liverpool area and been together since September 2010.

I heard their songs on MySpace and was immediately impressed with Naomi’s vocal range, but hearing her live reminded me of Ann and Nancy Wilson from Heart. It had the same raw power and feeling.

Gary made great use of the stage, jumping into the mosh pit, minus moshers of course and he and Naomi domineered the stage.

Great harmonies from Izzy, a great duo they made. Totally contrasting each other and despite the lack of sound for a few seconds, could then be heard quite clearly. Naomi doesn’t really need a microphone she has a voice that carries very well, as I found out in her warm up just before the set…. Quite amazing!

Izzy made the strings look so easy, made me quite jealous watching her up there, and wished it was me….. (Dream on!)

The band sang two covers, Zombie and SOS both expertly executed by the band. Although I do prefer the bands own material to covers. The tracks came across with true feeling and accepted by the crowd really well.

Shan and Gary, the two male members of the band really brought the sound together, with Garys expert playing Shans edgy drumming. They all work well together on stage.

I was really happy to be witness to seeing “Fallen Agenda” they have a good edge and are a very refreshing change to listen to, but don’t go thinking they are all pussycats, they can pack a punch live! Be sure to check out the band on the links above.

Bio

We are Fallen Agenda. A female fronted metal outfit and we hail from Liverpool England.
We have been together since September 2010 and since then we have been constantly writing material and playing shows non stop. We are always looking for the next gig as soon as we finish another one. We are all very passionate about what we do and we all have the thrive and determination to see this through to the end.

Individually we all have varied musical influences but as a band our musical influence is driven from bands such as Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold and Killswitch Engage and then clashed with an Evanescence/Lacuna coil atmospheric vocal.

When we play live we throw all of our energy into our shows and make sure that we tear up the stage. We are a very active band and we will always pull tricks out of every sleeve in the room to keep the crowd entertained.

What sets us apart from other bands? In the time that we have been playing we have not yet come across one band that we could be compared to, we stand out, we make sure that the people remember us and then come back to see us again and again. We have yet to come across another female fronted metal band to share the stage with.
