Bio

Fall to June was formed in late 2004 when Nate Yant was joined by the multi-talented singer Ben Badger. Later that year the highly versatile guitarist Cody McDonald and bass player RC Ledbetter were added to the Fall to June mix. These two exceptional additions brought this band's sound and texture to a whole new level.

With new songs constantly emerging from improvisational jams, the list of Fall to June's original songs continues to grow at an alarming rate. Fall to June’s process of writing music consists of only one equation: collaboration. While inspiration for a song may present in different ways, their key to success is to have input from each band member. Fall to June's open approach allows a multitude of musical influences to shine through. The band also collaborated with producer/engineer, John Blanche, a two-time Grammy award winner, to lay down the four tracks that would become their initial demo.

Born and raised in Arkansas, this now Florida-based singer and lyricist, comes from an artistic and musical household that fostered creativity and free thinking. Ben discovered his uncommon musical talent when he picked up a microphone at an early age of four. Ever since then he has been showcasing his extraordinary voice with complexity and power, and his vocals deeply touches the souls of all who hears him.

After watching some Metallica videos on MTV one day, Cody McDonald was in awe and instantly inspired to play guitar at the age of sixteen. The electric guitar became the object of Cody’s ambition. Metallica, Pantera, Dire Straights and Charlie Daniels were Cody’s early influences. He spent time learning their licks and riffs. Today, this highly versatile guitarist is endorsed by EMG pickups and Cody uses nothing else in his guitars.

Creative endeavor comes from a blend of natural talent, determination, and doing your homework. Ryan Christopher Ledbetter, known simply as R.C, has a pretty generous measure of all three. Determined to abuse his bass guitar at the age of 11, he quickly learned over the years to combine his outstanding abilities with his uncanny attraction to powerful riffs. Today he brings a guitar style well balanced between technical ability and aesthetic rock, which perfectly compliments the style of Fall to June.

Nate Yant is a unique drummer/songwriter and the backbone of the Fall to June’s lineup. His talent is his dynamic playing and consistency. At age 3, Nate was heavily influenced by his uncle’s musical background, and many years later he can demonstrate his versatile and multi-dimensional talent, whose musicianship and performance capabilities have taken him to many countries around the world. For the past couple of years, Nate has been mainly playing as a session drummer in the San Diego music scene.
