Learn to Live, the newest release from Hamilton's Famous Framus, shows a wonderous musical evolution. Framus takes his trademark, punk-like speed and growl and dials it down to create a beautiful, raw masterpiece.
The sound still has an edge to it, as always. By letting the songs breathe though, he lets the emotion of his vocals shine and allows the banjos/guitars to resonate and stick with you. Framus has also kept his knack for amazing lyrics. - Hamilton Blues Lovers

Bio
Born in the late 60's in Hamilton Ontario, Famous Framus (AKA Michael Brent MaGarrey ) grew up fast on the streets of the "Gritty City" . As a teenager he was mesmerized by a man who would come to family parties and play guitar and sing old country songs at the kitchen table all night long. This left a lasting impression. He bought an acoustic guitar with his first real paycheck and spent the next couple of years woodshedding the basics. He put the guitar down for the next few years to concentrate on working in a steel mill, breaking things, and generally raising hell. 'Framus felt compelled to pick up his guitar again in his late 20's and he began to get serious about songwriting. Twenty years of writing, recording, performing and living have woven a word weary tapestry of story and song. A man in a black suit seated in a chair, a rack beside him holding a flat top Gibson acoustic, a Kay six string banjo and a National resonator guitar. The tools of the trade. The trade is the Truth.
