Fantastic Mammals

Its never easy to categorize any band into a certain genre, but the four members of Fantastic Mammals have made it damn near impossible.
The young Chicago-land based group has been perfecting their mix of synth-based, swirling, dynamic, and high energy brand of indie rock for a little over a year now. Their delightfully eclectic mix of driving bass, punk drumming, masterful guitar, synth, piano, and dueling vocals create an unheard of brand of pop music.
In the short span of their career thus far, Fantastic Mammals have created an infectious buzz around northern Illinois. Known for their entertaining live shows, Fantastic Mammals have played countless shows in and around Chicago since September of 2008. They have also been featured in Frank V. Rosss acclaimed independent film Audrey the Trainwreck, been featured in nation-wide indie podcasts, and interviewed on radio DePaul. Not to mention that they successfully wrote, produced, pressed, and released their debut E.P. Milk Bar.
The release of their genre-bending, barrier breaking album has throttled Fantastic Mammals to the next level of their career. For a band that has continually fought conventional wisdom, it is hard to determine where FM will go from here, but one thing is for sure- This young group has no plans of slowing down.
