Glenn Saddler, rapper Bias the Black, and guitarist the Living comprise the three-man group who met at their Atlanta high school showcase their skills as trained violinists, guitar and piano players.
Far Out Family has showcased their clever fusion of trap music, alt-rock, and southern slang on college campuses around the country and music festivals, including SXSW, Afropunk, and for the second year in a row, A3C Festival on Oct. 10 in Atlanta.
In their latest song and dual video, “What the ?, $” takes a cinematic approach. “What the ? was written in a time when we were trying to understand what pop culture was giving us,” says rapper-producer, Glenn Saddler. “On the song we ask, ‘what the ? is any of this stuff supposed to mean?’ almost like we’re being entertained to death. ‘$’ is our take on the value of money; which to us is obviously the access it provides, and the control money grants you over your life.”
