Biography

We started Fare the Gap a little over a year ago as way to share our passions for writing and performing music while simultaneously cure our freshman year loneliness. While singing together for the first time we realized this was more than a casual hobby. So the work began. We released our debut album, "Giant Whispers: in Color " in May of 2013. Currently were playing shows around Savannah and Jacksonville while continuing to write and record new material. We've already booked and are looking forward to our upcoming tour of Texas, my home state, in December.
Along with our interests in music, Rebekah and I share a lifelong love of the visual and performing arts. Our desire is to create an all medium inclusive world in which our music is the soundtrack. When writing and arranging music we like to take a very broad approach and let a series of honest decisions whittle the sound down to a very specific shape. Our influences range from melodramatic Hollywood film scores, to sixties beat music, to American folk, to synth-pop. Thanks for checking us out.
