Biography

The story of Farewell Down began on the ski slopes of Colorado. Seth and Dustin's parents, both from Edmond, Oklahoma, met and found out their sons had common interests. They got together and in the first jam session wrote their first song, "Control." Later that same day, a few calls were made inviting Teejay and Nice Guy Shaunshaun Mackie to the group and within a few days that April, Farewell Down was formed.

The sound of Farewell Down comes from various influences such as hard rock, funk, even acoustic. Shaun has played bass with Muse, Wondernaut, and Subrosa. Teejay originally opened for acts like Seven Mary Three and MXPX in Virginia and played in a band with Seth called Cold December. Dustin worked on various acoustic projects. Despite the many musical backgrounds, it's been hard to find negative reaction to the sound of Farewell Down.

Lyrics

Enemy

Written By: Farewell Down

Somewhere I have seen her,
Dancing in the streets again.
Somewhere I have found them,
On the Edge of Reality.

Chorus:
I am just another man,
Who will not let you down,
And I am just another man.
I am just your enemy,
Self-Appointed,
And I am just your enemy.
Your Enemy.

Was I all or nothing,
With your ever-changing ways.
Now that I have fallen,
You have left me on my knees again.

Chorus

Down

Written By: Farewell Down

Once again I'm standing before you,
Arms are reaching out to the sky again.
I dropped down to my knees I beg forgive me,
For you are there providing for my knees.

Chorus:
Down, all the way down,
I am not what you think you have found.
I'm Down, I'm so down,
Broken Wings have kissed the ground.

Again,
Cause I'm Down,
I'm Down,
Yeah.

Faces as innocent as a child,
Always as decieving as a smile.
All that I desire and I want,
Haunts me, Kills me, then brings me down.

Chorus

Chorus

Left Behind

Written By: Farewell Down

I whisper here,
Just as long as you are near.
You gave to me,
All that you could spare.
All that I am,
You will never see.
From where you are,
Come down next to me.

Prechorus:
She Cries a Lonely River,
She Cries a Lonely River.

Chorus:x2
She says she likes my touch,
Sometimes we say too much.

All I have,
Seems to fade away.
Within your eyes,
I wish I could stay.
Who we are,
we will never change.
The day will come,
When I will turn away.

Prechorus

Chorus
