Far From Deliverance

Far From Deliverance

BandRockMetal

hard rock played with a modern metal touch. Imagine Led Zeppelin with Stone Temple Pilots adding a little Metallica in the mix.

Biography

Far From Deliverance started as an acustic project by guitar and vocal masters Jorge and Adam in early 2004. With the addition of BC Delicious on drums in late 2004, and later with Mike joining on bass, the band would be about to begin the musical quest towards fame and stardom, bringing their heavy rock sound everywhere. Influenced by classic rock artists such as Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, AC/DC and Nazareth, just like metal acts like Pantera, Cradle of Filth and Lamb Of God, to other musical styles such as funk, jazz, latin and classical music FFD comes with their own original powerfull sound. Far From Deliverance was born off the break up of Amptic Thrush, a minnesota metal band, that lingered the scene around late 2003 and early 2004, performing their live debut in July 2003 and produced one demo. Along the first half of 2004, FFD performed all on acustics, making their live debut in May 2004 and producing the acustic demo "Forecast:Pain" featuring "Summer Night", "Suicide Angel", "Home" and "I Still Believe". BC Delicious would join the band in August, bringing the band back to electric guitars and heavy metal grounds. Later in October, prior to the full band's debut show, BC Delicious, introduced his former bandmate Mike, to take care of the bass duties. Next year in May, the band would make their first electric demo titled "End Of The Line" featuring "Home", "Thorns", and "Pulse (eyes lied)" which would start a set of local shows in both Minneapolis and St. Paul... Far From Deliverance features the lead six-string talent of Adam, who also does the back-up vocals, showcasing amazing guitar skills and awesome song-writing, due to his attitude and taste in music. On the rhythm guitars and lead vocals we got Jorge, whose passionate and intelligent song-writing are undeniably some of the biggest driving forces behind the band. Behind the skins, BC Delicious, one of the most amazing drummers of the twin cities is found, bringing blasting and pounding beats to FFD's music, along with a great rock-n-roll attitude. On the bass and high end vocals, we got Mike whose versatility, musical education, skills, and attitude on the low end notes, would finish rounding up this all-star line-up. Together they are ready to show the world what hard rock is being waiting for all these decades, the real, passionate, pounding, original, intelligent, powerfull rock sound that only FFD can deliver. Stay tunned, these guys will come and make a big impact in today's and tomorrow's music scene!!!

Lyrics

Elpida

Written By: Adam Smith, Jorge Zapata

You want freedom?
There's a cost
You want freedom?
There's a catch
You want freedom?
There's lies...
What it is to die!!!!
Product of destruction
ripped from the mass
the path to restoration
will never come fast
see it, feel it, touch it
Now!!!
'Cause there is hope
When everything is black!
(x4)
I can only dream
to find out real life
dissapears
as I open my eyes
see it, feel it, touch it
Now!!!
'Cause there is hope
When everything is black!
(x4)
When the old road stops
a new one starts
(x4)
'Cause there is hope
When everything is black!
(x4)
You want freedom?
There's a cost
You want freedom?
There's a catch
You want freedom?
There's lies...
What it is to die!!!!

End Of The Line

Written By: Adam Smith, Jorge Zapata

Struck down by more lightning
You get in your place and I get lost
Get lost without a trace
I found where you started and
I found where you end
But...
I stopped when I was happy
I feel washed up again
I want to repeat what has been
I stopped when they told me
it was the end
I am not one to fight with self steem
actions among others have left me with blame
I'm trapped beneath the ice with an oxigen tank
not much good frozen under a lake
But...
I stopped when I was happy
I feel washed up again
I want to repeat what has been
I stopped when they told me
it was the end
This is the end of the line
This is the end of the line
This is the end of the line
This is the end of the LINE

Thorns

Written By: Adam Smith, Jorge Zapata

How many tiems I tried
To get you out of my mind
but you are still killing me
you are still inside
You are stuck in my brain
like a motherfuckin' headache
Drowned in this insanity
it's time to set me free
Thorns stealing the life of me
Born into this missery
Torn between democracy
(x2)
You were everything to me
While I was nothing to you
You just love to tear me inside
while I still care for you
I am still missing you
While all I should do is forget
If there is something I still feel
for this is just regret
Thorns stealing the life of me
Born into this missery
Torn in between democracy
(x2)
Nothing seems to let you go
Nothing seems to erease you
Nothing seems to be left in me
Nothing that is left to be
(x4)
Thorns stealing the life of me
Born into this missery
Torn between democracy
(x2)
