""The Time Is Now" by Farrad"

Farrad releases his fantastic CD, "The Time Is Now" featuring invigorating, vibrant, and energetic Top 40/Pop compilations. You can't help but get up off your feet and move to the powerhouse beats and grooves this album has to offer. Kicking off the album, "Misunderstood" burns with distorted vocals and funky rhythmic beats. Turn up the bass on the sub woofer as "Pick Your Face Up Off the Floor" is maximum pulses of thumping bass and drums. The easy flowing vocals on "Keep Your Head Up" complement the lyrics as the supporting instruments capture the smooth, slick vibe. Soulful, with a smooth R&B influence, "Destiny" reveals Farrad's ability to show some diversity within his style of music. If you're a fan of Lady GaGa and love great party music then take a listen to "The Time Is Now" as it's packed with high energy and progressively modern, Top 40 spins. - RadioINDY.com

"QUOTES & RECOGNITION"

"Farrad is the future of the hot club scene. He electrifies his audience with euphoric grooves surpassed only by spectacular moves. As a dancer, it's impossible not to compare him to Michael Jackson."
- Bill Robinson, InStyle Magazine

"Mixing...dance, rock, and urban pop, add in beyond-energetic performances with a powerful fashion sense...from old school punk to The Guardian Angels, and you have Farrad. The song to catch is "The Way U Do." If you aren't dancing in the first few seconds, you have no soul."
- Walt Cessna, BLACKBOOK

"Farrad is a unique artist who is bringing back the staples: singing, dancing, and of course, songwriting. His live performances are as energetic as anything out today and if he's not on your radar, you're not checking out what's next and new on the scene. The time is now."
- Pete Chatmon, President + CEO, Double 7 Film

"Farrad harnesses and applies the forward momentum of the pop
scene, club culture, and street sensibility to create an album
containing at least three 'instant summer dance classics.' What
gives this record depth and breadth to go the distance is
Farrad’s rare ability to race forward without forgetting the
past. He brings the old school with him as he teaches the new
and marries the joyous exuberance, swagger and charisma of
the club diva with the soulful and unmistakable talent of a
latter-day Prince. The time is now - and it’s about damn time."
- iTunes Listener Review

Farrad has great hip-hop chops, but he uses them to dance over the chunky groove of songs like “Misunderstood” and “Praise 2 the DJ”. He can slow the tempo down “Do It Baby”, get all anthemic “Destiny” or just get you dancin’ “Pick Your Face Up Off the Floor”. - Out Front Colorado

"10 Stars and A Thumbs Up!"

I find his tunes running through my head long after I stop playing his music. This is one thing every musician strives for is to make their music memorable so you want to hear more. Farrad has done a great job of this.

As you can see from the video, Farrad is also a well choreographed dancer to rival the great, late Michael Jackson. He is precise and articulate and a first class showman.

“The Time Is Now” includes the original version of Farrads single “Pick Your Face Up Off The Floor”(PYFUOTF) which is, a great song on its own. Since it was introduced there have been several Remixes done of it. These are not included in “The Time Is Now” but are available for .99/Trk on the album "Pick Your Face Up Off The Floor: The Remixes" and are included in the Amazon.com applet if you’d like to purchase and download them.

Bio

"Farrad is the future of the hot club scene. He electrifies his audience with euphoric grooves surpassed only by spectacular moves. As a dancer, it's impossible not to compare him to Michael Jackson" (Bill Robinson, InStyle Magazine)

Farrad debuted tracks off his debut album, The Time Is Now at Santos Party House in NYC in 2009 and it’s been an upward trajectory ever since. The project is receiving such great response that Bunim/Murray Productions licensed his entire album for shows including: MTV’s Real World, Road Rules, Extreme Challenge & The Stylist; E!’s Keeping Up With The Kardashians & Kourtney and Khloe Go To Miami; and Bad Girls Club on Oxygen.

Farrad’s powerful first single “Pick Your Face Up Off The Floor” inspired world-class talent to contribute to the accompanying video: Director Greg Haggart and Ann Gilbertson (producer of music videos and concert footage for acts such as Rolling Stones, Michael & Janet Jackson, David Bowie and Nine Inch Nails), partnered with Farrad to realize a post-apocalyptic vision of man vs. machine. Hot designer SoHung Tong (creator of unique looks for Beyonce and Fergie) customized a must-see piece, and motor-cross world record breaker, Shane San Miguel, lent his skills as the musical short’s daredevil nemesis.

Farrad appeared on the 2008 NewNowNext Awards on Logo with his fellow Dazzle Dancers, and he performed with Cazwell opening for Lady Gaga at the Highland Ballroom. In the last year he has also rocked audiences at the most recent New York City Fashion Week, Joe’s Pub, the 2009 Pridefest Stage on the Hudson, The Endup in San Francisco, along with Vauxhall’s Club Fire and the famed Madame JoJo’s in London.

His influences include Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Mick Jagger and contemporary artists such as Beyonce, Prince, and Andre 3000. Farrad commands a stage with precise choreography, unbridled passion, boundless energy and the singular focus to give the crowd more than they bargained for – infusing every song with power, theatrics, and ridiculously catchy hooks.

A regular in the downtown New York City performance scene, has played all over North America, Europe and Australia, and is excited to take his entire album and first single, “Pick Your Face Up Off The Floor” to the dance floor and into the mainstream.

"Whether he's laying diverse vocal styles, seductively rapping or commanding his listeners to 'come together in love!' Farrad always delivers a take-no-prisoners attitude."

Raw emotion, precise delivery, killer hooks…and a whole lotta soul.
