Farrah Mechael drops her new Ep, "Lies." - Send2Press

"FARRAH MECHAEL’S NEW EP SERVES US SULTRY SUMMER BANGERS"

Fiery pop newcomer Farrah Mechael is bringing back hot girl summer with her vibrant second EP “Lies.” Featuring production and writing from Andre ‘Dre Bombay’ Harris, Don Parma, Devrim Karaoglu, Ant Clemons and the Mechael sisters – Farrah and Tamara – “Lies” is a sultry fusion of electronic pop with hip-hop sensibilities. The EP serves us banger after banger, including a remaster of Farrah’s previously released single ‘That Way’ featuring Mackned – in addition to 5 new tracks including ‘Carefully’ – a sensual song of the summer with a thunderous bass.

Farrah Mechael has been making major (sound)waves with her performances at iHeart Radio’s Wango Tango in Los Angeles in 2018 and Detroit Summer Jamz in 2019. Her dedication to community building and mental health activism on her growing online platform has garnered a powerful, but intimate fanbase. She is ready to inspire change through music with a resonant message, commonly stating, “I truly do believe the world needs change. And if we don’t change it, who will?”

Farrah’s music career began as a classically trained opera singer. She’s performed Jazz and Gospel sets at prestigious events like Obama’s Inauguration Ceremony in Detroit. In 2020, Farrah has used her classical music and cultural background to reimagine her unique voice. She incorporates both her roots – being a Chaldean woman growing up in metro Detroit – and her current experience working out of Los Angeles into her newest release.

‘Lies’ includes a Detroit rap-inspired track ‘Ice Pack,’ the title track ‘Lies’ – which serves a Middle Eastern vibe — a nod to her heritage — Farrah is originally from Iraq and is recognized as a Middle Eastern pop star. She feels strongly towards spotlighting Middle Eastern representation (and the lack thereof) in American media.

Songs like ‘What Do You Want,’ ‘I’m In Love,’ and ‘Carefully’ call back to the pop roots of her debut release ‘Farrah Please,’ while moving forward with west coast dance influences.

Farrah Mechael‘s new EP ‘Lies’ is out now and streaming on all digital platforms. Stay updated on all things Farrah via her instagram and website. - Grimy Goods

"Album Review: Farrah Mechael – Farrah Please"

Farrah Mechael has been busy as of lately after landing a spot on the Digi Tour. The project that landing Farrah a spot on the tour, “Farrah Please”, was released to the world on December 21st, 2017 and showcases Farrah’s strong abilities as a vocalist. After listening to the project, I was left extremely impressed by Farrah’s versatility and vocal delivery.

Kicking off with the record “Hard to Breath”, Farrah quickly shows her vocal mastery and silky smooth vocals. While the title of the song is “Hard to Breath”, Farrah shows that she has no difficulty with breath control as she delivers an ethereal, dreamy sound. “Desert Sand”, is one of my favorite records on the project as Farrah perfectly captures the essence of the hot desert and presents it in audible form. The uptempo record allows Farrah to show off her versatility as she rides the quick instrumental perfectly. On the record “La La Land”, Farrah expresses her thoughts over the way that she deals with experiences in life and shows some regret for past actions. The pre-chorus and chorus on “La La Land” are well delivered with Farrah creating a dreamscape with her vocals throughout the chorus. The emotional single “I’m Hurt”, is a deep record that allows Farrah to express her emotions towards a past relationship that didn’t last. One of the final tracks on the album, “Scream” is a powerful track about freedom. The transitions on “Scream” fit together seamlessly and this is one of the stand out records on the project. On the closing single, “Farrah Please”, Farrah let’s it be known that her love is addictive and something that can change your life. After hearing “Farrah Please” in it’s entirety, it’s very clear that Farrah has all the makings of a pop star. Her music has a strong mainstream appeal and her vocals are masterful and well crafted. Bio

Professional recording artist based in Los Angeles with years of experience in the music industry. My songs are credited to top producers and songwriters, including my songwriting sister, Tamara Mechael, Ant Clemons, Andre "Dre Bombay" Harris, Don Parma, & Devrim Karaoglu.
I have performed my music among the likes of worldwide artists, such as Chris Brown and Ariana Grande, at events like iHeartRadio’s Wango Tango. I ventured on a successful 16 city USA tour for my EP “Farrah Please,” which is documented on my family’s reality show entitled “Knot Normal.” I am looking for strategic thinkers who are willing to work together to take this pop-music project to the top!

This summer I just released my second EP and am working on topping the charts with my team. I am a pop artist, but I will say that my music definitely has its influences from opera, jazz, and hip-hop. I am classically trained and my sister Tamara and I both sang at the Detroit Opera House and were both in many operas, including Carmina Burana and Don Giovanni. After much opera training, I went on to sing gospel at various churches around Detroit. I was then asked to perform at President Obama's Inauguration ceremony in Detroit, MI. I sang At Last by Etta James and got a standing ovation. It was after this event that I started working with producers and music engineers in the city of Detroit. After I released my first EP, written mainly by my genius and incredibly talented sister, Tamara Mechael and myself, we went on a 16 city US tour and got to perform my music around the country.

LET'S MAKE SOME HISTORY.
