HipHopDX Premiere: Atlanta rapper Fa$t Life and producer Metro Boomin come together for the melodic freestyle, “Angel Dust,” which finds the duo working together for the first time. In the song, Fa$t Life talks about what it’s like to grow up in his familial environment, but at the same time, reminds listeners he won’t tolerate drama. “Angel Dust” is intended to increase anticipation for his full project release, 199X. -

Ed Weathers, better known as Fa$t Life, always has something in the works. After collaborating with several notable artists like Southside, Future, and 2 Chainz, he’s back with “Legendary” featuring Waka Flocka Flame on the hook.

According to his press release, Fa$t Life was raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Throughout his career, he has worked with a variety of mainstream rap artists, as well as European producers and DJs such as Jesse Rose and Diplo.

His last official project was the smooth yet heavy 2015 EP, From Time, featuring production from 808Mafia, VillaBEATZ, and Fa$t Life himself. Fa$t Life is planning on releasing hoards of new music through the end of 2016 and into 2017, culminating with his first full-length, 199X. -

HipHopDX Premiere: Fa$t Life gets straight to the point with his new single “Nobody” featuring production from Vancouver beatsmith Joseph L’Etranger. In less than two minutes, the 20-something Atlanta rapper obliterates the bass-heavy musical landscape claiming, “ain’t nobody fuckin’ with us.” The track comes ahead of his forthcoming 90s Babies project, which is expected in the very near future.

While taking time off from releases, he was asked to be a guest speaker at UCLA in Los Angeles to discuss being a young artist in the music industry and his upcoming single “Kings.” Among other things such as label meetings and working on a distribution deal with Empire. Ed Weathers (Fast Life) was raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Throughout his career, he has worked with a variety of  mainstream rap artists including Future and Pusha T, 2 Chainz, Cyhi The Prince, Alley Boy, as well as European producers and DJ’s, such as  Jesse Rose and Diplo. His last official project was the smooth yet heavy EP “From Time“, featuring production from  808Mafia, VillaBEATZ and Fast Life himself. Fast Life, along with his Fast Life Society record label, is putting a  futuristic twist on contemporary rap and carving his own lane in the industry. This year, Fast Life is on a mission to  take rap music to the next level. Since the last EP release in early 2015, Fast Life is gearing up for his upcoming  project 90s Babies with recent releases featuring artists and producers such as Waka Flocka, Southside of 808 Mafia, Metro Boomin, and Adrian Lau coming Spring of 2017.
