In 1957 my Daddy and Uncle and a friend would play every saturday and have me get the beer from the frig, So i said i would if thy would teach me to play!On my dad's next trip to the dump we found a 3/4 size guitar, Black with a picture of the lone ranger, We Cleaned it up and i had my first axe Age 4...
One year later i got my frist electric,a Sears Silvertone With the amp in the case,And started to take formal music lessons on Sax .....
Won first chair in no time flat,all the while my Mom would teach me to sing the Blues....
Jammed with Buddy Miles ,Jerry Garcia,John Mayall,
and Blue Cheer to name a few by the time i was 14.....
Been in a lot of bands since then, played with a lot of world class people....
In Texas I was Guitarist for the Christian Travelars Gosple Quartet and the Family Gosple Singers ,Where we were on program with the 5 Blind boys from Alabama, Rev. James Clevlend, and the cream of the old skool Gosple profomers, The Cristian Travlers Were together over 50 yrs, I was 19.....
What an honner and a blessin,I learned so much about life an music from the church,Thank You God....
Most resently i played for 14 yrs on the streets of Long beach in front of the Blue Cafe every Friday and Saturday with such folks as Top Jimmy, White Boy James, PHil Alvin, Zola Moon, Eric Sardines,All Great Blues Men and Woman.....
As you can tell I ain't been in it for the money Ha Ha Ha....
But its time to think bout it!!!
The present....
Played a few gigs with the bassist from Canned Heat, Greg Kage, Horror Film Actor Reggie Bannister and the guitarist/vocalist Bruce Fitzsimmons from the group Shadowdogs....
Formed Fasteddie And The Musclecar Blues Band....
And doin Solo Gigs....
Currenly Recording A Blues Opara With Mr. Larry Hunt ....
