Everett is not the first place to come to mind when you think of cities with an up and coming music scene—and it certainly hasn’t been the go-to place to discover emerging artists. But that is quickly changing with artists like I Will Keep Your Ghost and Fauna Shade.
Fauna Shade is making their way into the spotlight with the recent release of an EP that delivers hard hitting lo fi drums and reverb-drenched synthesizers. Fauna Shade’s brand of rock is structured around solid guitar lines and has a moody grungy edge that runs the gamut between pretty and sometimes ragged vocals. Their songs have a solid structure and a plethora of energy that is best experienced live.
This is a band to watch. Although they are still in the infancy of their career, they have already joined the ranks of The Lonely Forest, Kithkin and Bright Futures as an EMP Sound Off! semi-finalist. - SSG Music

Fauna Shade makes self-effacing, ricochet-saturated music fit for the nocturnal hours. With brilliant flashes that are evocative of early Modest Mouse, Wolf Parade, and Panda Bear, the Everett-based trios music manages to remain uncorrupted and free of pretense. They skillfully synthesize a shrewd and wistful sound that will lay down roots and make a home in your head.
