born in nyc, FVK was founded by a brotha sean, a puerto rican that grew up on a steady diet of punk rock & metal & now works as a traditional west african and afro latin percussionist. he recognized the need for blacks and latinos to hear rock music made by us speaking to issues specific to us. he met another drummer, will johnson through a mutual friend and knew that this was an excellent combination because of his gospel background and proximity to the music industry (he's the MD for pop star mya and drummer for kirk franklyn). the johnson brothers are twin mc's /b-boys. noemi is a former reggaeton singer from puerto rico. guillo is the bassist for puerto rican roots super group yerba buena.
