Bio

In defiance of the burden of inertia, the musicians that once gave us bands like the goth rock/ trip-hop staple Sunshine Blind, the jazzy instrumental groove of Tree o' Frogs, and the full-frontal metal assault of Atomic Circus have come together to present a new, yet oh-so-familiar flavor of Rock entitled FEAR MAKES PERFECT.

Based in San Francisco, FMP combines the powerful voice and presence of vocalist Caroline Blind with the raw energy and melodic hooks of guitarists Charlie K. and Scott Royal to bring us music that is not only fresh and relevant for today's radio audience, but sorely needed on the airwaves.

The songs conjure up memories of the bands we all rocked-out to in our youth, with big screaming guitars and catchy, memorable riffs and harmonies. Combine that with the rock-steady rhythms of bassist Brian Shira and drummer Gregg Ziemba and we're left with a band that not only delivers the punch but reminds us all of the things we love about good Rock N' Roll. Comparisons range from Blondie and Patti Smith to Pat Benatar and Joan Jett.

To make this new project hit the ground running, FMP has signed on to work with producer Sylvia Massy Shivy (Tool, System of a Down, Beck) at her RadioStar Studios to record their debut tracks, with a release hopefully in the works within the year. Until then, FMP can be heard performing in Bay Area clubs and festivals, having recently performed at Slim's and DNA Lounge in San Francisco and on various college radio stations, including a live performance on KALX 90.7FM, Berkeley.
