Fear of the Drum Records

BandHip HopR&B

Gospel or Concious? Either way that you catagorize this music, it is ground breaking positive Hip Hop. We live Hip Hop (the culture) not just rape the music called rap. Provocative topics, clever lyricsm and punchlines over tight beats describes our music perfectly.

Biography

Positioned right at the forefront of Philadelphia's latest tidal wave of talent, Fear of the Drum Records artists prove to be every bit as ground breaking as thier many influences.  We are deeply rooted in the Hip Hop movement, but also possess a knowledge and understanding of jazz, the blues, classical, soul, doo wop, rock, r&b, and neo soul. We possess lyricism that outshines many and an artistic integrity that has separated us from the mundane sound of Hip Hop. We range from many backgrounds but all share the love of Jesus Christ and the love of Hip Hop. We all are from extremely musical families (I can think of at least 20 relatives who are in the music industry full time), and it shows with the maturity of the music presented at such young ages.
