"Fear Report could just be about to save the world of rock 'n' roll..."

Spitting and snarling their way out of New York, Fear Report could just be about to save the world of rock 'n' roll. Delivering a powerful punch of twin guitars, thunderous basslines and frontman Dan O'Berry's raw, whiskey-soaked vocals, second track 'Bloodrust' is the highlight here. A heavy slice of alt-rock that sounds like it's come straight out of Quicksand's back catalogue, hopefully this isn't the last we hear of these boys. - Rock Sound (UK) In-Print Issue 132

"NYC rock troupe Fear Report resurrects the murky and anguished tones of grunge..."

NYC rock troupe Fear Report resurrects the murky and anguished tones of grunge into a hard-hitting three-song sampler entitled THEORY OF THREES. Chock full of hook-ridden guitars whose homogeneous mix of gunk and gleam captures the distinguished Seattle vibe while chunky rhythms aplenty keep the attack just menacing enough to allow melody to seep through, this inspired retread goes deeper than the typical STP and Soundgarden sound-alikes, channeling the hard-edged flannel-wearing spirits of lesser-known acts like Sugartooth, Seven Mary Three, Gruntruck, and Jimmie’s Chicken Shack to recreate that unmistakable smell of teen spirit all over again - Gear of Rock

Bio:
Born in 2009, Brooklyn's Fear Report is the brainchild of Dan O'Berry and Rob Trail. Upon formation, with Sasha Shenoy on guitar, the band quickly released an EP entitled Theory of Threes, which garnered attention from across the pond. This included a feature in Rock Sound magazine, with the quote "Fear Report could just be about to save the world of rock 'n' roll." Many positive reviews followed suit, and they continued to write material whilst maintaining the momentum of the EP.

In 2010 the band pounded the Northeast pavement, playing bars, dives, venues, and small festivals including MEANY Fest.

In 2011, a lineup change brought Anthony Ricardo (drums) and Brendan Clements (bass) to the sound. These Long Island natives knew each other from a previous band, so there was already chemistry.

The band hunkered down in their Brooklyn rehearsal space to write Pandemic, which was released in February 2013. IndieMusicReviewer.com says "It is a rarity these days to find this sort of gem let alone find the talent to be able to create and convey this passion. Fear Report's music is honest, straightforward, emotional, and most importantly, it totally rocks!" Pandemic received a fair amount of college radio play, and the band promoted it heavily in the NY area, concentrating on their home base.

In June 2013, Fear Report was invited to open for Valient Thorr at The Studio at Webster Hall.

Fear Report is currently in the studio with legendary producer Wharton Tiers of Helmet, Quicksand, and Sonic Youth fame. Their newer sound is more aggressive and focused, and they are excited to work with Wharton on shaping the songs.

"It's an honor to work with Wharton. Quicksand is one of my favorite bands, and I sought Wharton out personally, and he said he'd love to work with us. I was ecstatic. How often do you get to hand pick a producer from the liner notes of one of your favorite records?" says lead singer, Dan O'Berry.

The untitled EP is due out late 2013 or early 2014. Fear Report is currently tearing up the NYC scene.
