The band’s been making records since 2010 and recently released two singles on 7″, but for newcomers, 2012′s Actual Magic might be the best place to start; it’s simple melodies executed uniquely with arrangements that are nuanced just enough to be both immediate and meaty. Ranging from more straightforward college radio pop (“Arrangement” and “Reverse,Divide”) to more meditative mood riffs (“I Saw You Dancing” and “An Aside”), the Featherface magic brings you quirk without irony. - Sweet Tea Pumpkin Pie
"Considering that last year's "I Saw Her Dancing" was a strong contender for Video of the Year, it should come as any surprise that Featherface placed high once again. "The Cosmic Draw" is a wonderful vid that explores a non-linear past and future of one young woman as seen through the eyes of her loving husband." - Houston Press
"I Saw You Dancing" is an emotional kick in the soul that touches on themes dark and strange. Featherface has raised the bar on local music videos, and it's going to take a lot for another act to top their near-perfect tale. " - Houston Press

"It’s an EP that bursts with youthful energy, a lush and varied sound, smart arrangements, and some damn catchy songs" - Free Press Houston

"It was fascinating to see a much younger band with almost proto emo roots, the kind of sinewy mood and power pop that could be found in bands like the Promise Ring, the Posies or even the Flamin’ Groovies. That held together powerful harmonies and injected massive amounts of energy into a room whose response rose barely above a golf course clap." - Austinist.com
"Featherface definitely have bucket loads of potential and a knack for producing music that everybody will find something they like in. Various genres are scattered through the EP here and there yet they mostly resemble a cross between Radiohead and the craziness of bands such as OK Go. Certainly worth a listen no matter what genre you’re into as you never know with these lads what erratic sounds they will produce next." - Abigail Suter
"After first listen to It Comes Electric by Houston based experimental psych-rock band Featherface, it becomes apparent that this band has a much different approach toward songwriting than most of the other bands out there. Before playing this EP, be sure to be somewhere safe, because the psychedelic trance of this album will allow your mind to wonder off without notice!" - Indie Music Reviewer
Out of nowhere these guys came out with an album that is honestly undeniably one of the best albums of the year. Am I exaggerating? NO! Feather Face is Steve Wells, Kenny Hopkins, Jake Harris and Travis Peck and together these guys from a storage room somewhere in Houston have recorded, produced and released an album that captures that sound that so many are looking to achieve. This is there second EP but already has set the bar high for what we can expect from theses guys.

Featherface also carves out a similar corner of the subtle and textured musical universe, but without the obvious radio-ready choruses. Their sound is woozy, almost psychedelic with soft synthesizers, slide guitar and reverbed vocals. - 979 Represent

With It Comes Electric, Featherface does the near-impossible — in my book, at least — by taking loose-limbed, organic, all-over-the-map psych-rock and marrying it to full-on, wide-grinning, right-in-your-ear arena-pop. And, against all odds, making it work amazingly, awesomely well in the process. - Space City Rock

Following up their debut LP 'Actual Magic' with relentless touring and appearances at several regional music festivals, including Free Press Summer Fest and Index Fest, Featherface is continuing to evolve with the release of two new singles on 7 vinyl. While continuing to build a reputation for its energetic live performances, Featherface has stayed focused on writing and recording innovative pop tunes. Tunes like "Ourselves Together" helped draw the attention of many industry professionals including the "Rubber Tracks" team at Converse. During SXSW 2013, Featherface was chosen as one of a handful of bands out of 1000s of applicants to participate in Converse's unique recording and producing program. The result of that program can be heard on the new 7" and seen here on Converse's YouTube channel: http://youtu.be/ZM8EX14Q7lA. Their performance of "Ourselves Together" landed them Converse's "Track of The Week" and sparked the process that lead to the recording of their aforementioned 7" vinyl record.
