The band’s been making records since 2010 and recently released two singles on 7″, but for newcomers, 2012′s Actual Magic might be the best place to start; it’s simple melodies executed uniquely with arrangements that are nuanced just enough to be both immediate and meaty. With It Comes Electric, Featherface does the near-impossible — in my book, at least — by taking loose-limbed, organic, all-over-the-map psych-rock and marrying it to full-on, wide-grinning, right-in-your-ear arena-pop.
